November 23-25

Monday: This morning we talked through Jeremiah’s calling and the time he renamed someone Terror on Every Side (wow!).  During language arts, we reviewed the last chapter of Esperanza Rising through quick questions and a quick write.  Then we examined her thoughts, words, and actions in the next chapter.  We continued this work for part of grammar mini and finished with the doubling rule in spelling.  We discussed science fair and came up with some questions, read a few print outs in Heritage and created a cut-away diagram.

Homework: Esperanza words, thoughts, actions due tomorrow

Tuesday: We read about Jeremiah and his imprisonment.  We started a comic strip recounting the events.  In language arts, we worked on chapter 4 with special attention to internal and external responses to conflict.  We continued the work into grammar mini, watched a video on pyramids and created one in a group.  Then we did reading in science, introducing new concepts and completed two workbook pages

Homework: Workbook pages are due tomorrow in science
